Eyehategod Announce They Are Canceling Their September 2015 Shows

It’s truly a sad day for fans of sludge-metal pioneers, Eyehategod.  Today the band just dropped notice that they will be canceling a string of highly-anticipated shows through the states this September.

Concerning the cancelled show-dates, the band released an official statement:  “Due to an unfortunate turn of events, Eyehategod has sadly been forced to postpone their four show September run this week.  Many apologies to everyone with plans to see the band.  Eyehategod promises to make up these gigs ASAP.  Housecore Horror Fest is still on the schedule for November and we are looking forward to that.”

Earlier this year, the New Orleans road-hounds were forced to cancel their three-day run in Mexico and Australian tour-dates in an effort to maintain the mental and physical well-being of ring-leader and vocalist, Mike IX Williams.  According to reports, Williams’ rigorous touring-schedule had finally taken its toll on his health and wreaked severe consequences.  Williams suffered from chronic-fatigue and exhaustion due to the band’s grueling schedule.

Tragedy struck the band back in the fall of 2013.  Drumming-genius, Joey LaCaze passed away after returning from a five-week European tour, spawning the first indication of their string-of-perils.  Luckily, LaCaze’s drum-tracks had already been recorded for Eyehategod’s self-titled LP(2014), courtesy of Housecore Records.

The band is proud to announce they will still be ready to provide their loyal fan-base with a riveting full-on assault of intense metal-crazed madness at Philip H. Anselmo’s Housecore Horror Festival this November 13-15 in San Antonio.

Cancelled Dates:

Sep. 09: Philadelphia, PA – Underground Arts
Sep. 10: Raleigh, NC – Hopscotch Fest at Pour House
Sep. 11: Cave-In-Rock, IL – Full Terror Assault Fest
Sep. 12: Detroit, MI – Don’t Call It A Fest at Tangent Gallery
