Waka Flocka Flame is an American rapper based in Atlanta, Georgia. Signed to 1017 Brick Squad, his name comes from a combination of ideas from a his cousin and rapper Gucci Mane. His single, “O Let’s Do It,” kick started his career in 2009. Named one of the hottest MC’s by MTV, he released his debut album Flockaveli in 2010. Now in 2015, he has expanded into other genres such as EDM. His latest work includes a sequel album to his previous work called Flockaveli 2. The record features guest vocals consisting of Drake, Kanye West, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, and 50 Cents.
Ookay is a San Diego based producer who has taken his place in the electronic music scene. With support from stars such as Tiesto, Steve Aoki, and Diplo, Ookay has exploded as one of the young leaders in EDM. While he produces trap music, he is also known for branching out to tech and deep house. His remixes and collaborative work has earned him a massive following through the years.
Waka Flocka Flame and Ookay will be featured in Austin’s huge TrapFest lineup. With strong headlining acts and appearances from K Theory and NGHTMRE, this highly anticipated event is sure to blow up the dance floor. Listeners can expect to experience new music and lively performances from each of the artists.
