Girl Band released a video for their single “Pears for Lunch,” which is part of the new album to be released this September, Holding Hands With Jamie.
The video is like every other video of the band’s trademark, the use of objects as people is one way to personify the everyday actions of the human world, where we fall in love and where we often walk our lives unnoticed. A young television set gets a job, falls in love, and wrestles with the realities of his new life, all the while broadcasting his desires to the world.
The new video is much like the video for their other single “Paul”, where it is a reflection of continuous self-improvements through the struggles we undergo in life. We walk through our lives wearing nothing but a mask and that mask often shows us what we truly wish to desire and what we really want to see. Recently, Girl Band released tour dates for their North American tour in support of the new album coming out.
