The long wait for a new track was worth it. After a breakthrough 2013 debut and a year of stellar performances, Atlas Genius unveiled a new album release, Inanimate Objects, and has now followed up with a music video. The mesmerizing abstract video for the indie-rock band’s first single, “Molecules”, was directed by longtime collaborator Claire Marie Vogel. Atlas Genius launched a US tour this summer, building momentum for their upcoming release, which is available on iTunes for preorder.
When It Was Now, Atlas Genius’ debut album featuring the Gold-certified hit single, “Trojans, was praised as a “spritely, melodic debut album” by Rolling Stone. After signing to Warner Bros. Records, the Australian band immersed itself into 18 months of nonstop touring.
Atlas Genius shared their magic in two national headline tours, opened for Imagine Dragons, performed in festivals such as Lollapalooza and Outside Lands, and stopped by “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Show with David Letterman,” “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” “Conan” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”.
Their sophomore record, Inanimate Objects, will be released on August 28.
