Shakey Graves, aka Alejandro Rose-Garcia, is headed to Philly this November for a headlining show at The Electric Factory. The XPN presented show will feature Those Darlins as openers. Tickets are on sale now for the November 14th show.
On what the artist dubs, “Shakey Graves Day,” the singer/songwriter released an EP of rare tracks. Nobody’s Fool was only available for 72 hours, starting on February 9th. Prior to that, the Texan released And The War Came on October 7th. This time, looking to develop a deeper sound from that of the album’s predecessor, explaining, “This is not the ‘Mr. Folk Hobo Mountain’ album — it’s more of the Cyborg Shakey Graves. It’s definitely the next step in the staircase.”
In addition to working with other artists on his newest release, Rose-Garcia incorporated that aesthetic into the overall vibe of the album. He says, “It’s not about a single person, it’s about being that second other person. Even the title — I never thought about whether I was able to handle that aspect of things, of having these relationships. And the War Came is a little bit of, be careful what you wish for. Hear for yourself when he takes his music to the Electric Factory stage this fall. Nashville’s Those Darlins will open the show on November 14th.
