Valerie Anne Poxleitner, commonly known as Lights, is a Canadian musician, singer, and songwriter. She was first signed at the age of 15 and started her career as a writer for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Soon, she began touring in regions in both the United States and Canada. At the start of 2010, Lights started her work with synthpop band, Owl City, through duets and live performances. Lights’ third record, Little Machines, peaked at #5 on Billboard’s Canadian Albums chart. Her continuous rise in music is backed by growing fans and positive reviews from critics.
The Mowgli’s are an American alternative rock band created by a group of friends in California. The name comes from a former member’s dog who was named after a character from The Jungle Book. In their quirkiness and color displayed in their work, the band has reached new heights over the years. The song “San Francisco,” inspired by their love for the city, became a smash hit across alternative charts nationwide. The band just released their newest record, Kids In Love, at the beginning of 2015.
With new music, both artists offer a refreshing and energetic show to fans. Merging their alternative indie-rock scenes, the two will begin touring together in the fall.
