The Wildhearts Announce Fall 2015 Tour Dates

In commemoration of English band The Wildhearts’ 20-year anniversary of their hit album P.H.U.Q., the band have decided to embark on a U.K. tour this fall, playing the 1995 album in its entirety.

The band reunited in 2012 after a multitude of sporadic hiatuses and last released work in with 2009’s ¡Chutzpah!. However, another Wildhearts album seems unlikely. From an interview with Classic Rock, Ginger states “As for writing another Wildhearts album, forget it. I wouldn’t even know what to write about. A bunch of forty to fifty year olds still unable to get along? Yeah, count me in. Sounds like a riot. F-ck that.”

Even amid Wildhearts band drama, Lead vocalist Ginger writes with anticipation on the tour, ‘I can’t wait to get in front of the Wildhearts fans again. They’re the loudest, craziest, most passionate crowd I’ve ever seen, and we’re doing this tour for them,’ said Wildheart’s in a statement. ‘It’s going to be a pretty emotional evening, for everyone.’ Ginger most recently embarked on a solo tour throughout the U.K that included acoustic performances and spoken word.

Ginger’s new side project Hey!Hello along with the recently reformed Baby Chaos will be joining the tour as openers. Aside from Ginger’s projects he’s also known working on an album under the name Mutation with members of Napalm Death and Merzbow.

P.H.U.Q. hit number 6 on the U.K. charts and included the bands most well-known single “I Wanna Go Where the People Go,” which you can listen to below the list of upcoming tour dates.
