Newport Folk Festival Day 3 Photos, Review: Hozier, Laura Marling, First Aid Kit and More

The last day of the 2015 Newport Folk Festival  (also check out our Day 1 and Day 2 coverage) held performances by Rodrigo Amarante, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Lord Huron, Field Report, the Felice Brothers, First Aid Kit, Blake Mills, Laura Marling, Hozier, Shakey Graves, and then wrapped up with a tribute called ’65 Revisited. Referring to Bob Dylan’s controversial decision to play electric guitar at the festival in 1965, the 50th anniversary tribute opened with Gillian Welch and David Rawlings who were joined on stage throughout the set with a rotating set of performers including Al Kooper, Dawes, Blake Mills, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Hozier, Deer Tick, and First Aid Kit. For the last number they invited anyone who was backstage to join and the stage was filled with artists from all three days of the festival.
