The event will also include performances from Girlpool, Eskimeaux, and Brandon Can’t Dance, so you’ll definitely want to get there early so you don’t miss any of the fun! Alex G takes the stage on November 14th, and tickets are on sale now.

His upcoming album, Beach Music, will be released on October 9th via Domino. The 22-year old musician has also released the album’s first single, “Bug.” You can stream that below. He’s out on a short European tour, and then he’ll join Title Fight for a few dates beofre kicking off his own headlining tour. In discussing his astetic, Alex G, short for Giannascoli, said, “I don’t want to be a dark dude, but it’s something that I can express – that I like to express. And I guess that’s how [the darkness] comes out.”

After the release of DSU last year, Alex G was catipulted to a new level of critical acclaim, and a highly demanding tour schedule. In addition to his own headlining gigs, he was also on the road with UMO and Speedy Ortiz. But now that he has officially left Temple University to pursue this little music endeavor, Alex G says, “My job is to play shows for people that like my shit now. Before it was just my thing that I did. Now it’s still my thing that I do because it’s my only thing.” Catch Philly’s own for yourself this November when he plays the First Unitarian stage.
