X Ambassadors have announced an upcoming fall tour in support of their debut album, VHS. The aptly named VHS Tour will kick off in New York on October 22nd before heading to Philly on the 25th. You can grab tickets now to see the rising talent when they take the stage this fall. The event, which was originally scheduled for Underground Arts has already been moved to the much larger Electric Factory, due most likely to high demand. So grab your tickets now before it’s too late! Fans of the band may have already caught them at this year’s 104.5’s Birthday Show or perhaps when they opened for Milky Chance last month at The Mann Center. Now, the guys will be headlining a show of their own and if their past performances are any indication – this is one you do not want to miss.
The guys from X Ambassadors debuted their album at the end of June. It features their number 1 single “Renegades,” as well as other standout tracks like “Jungle” and “Unsteady.” In addition to hearing it on the radio, you probably recognize “Renegades” from the Jeep commercial which features also the band. Hailing from Ithaca, NY, the band released their debut major label EP back in 2013. At the time, they toured with acts like Jimmy Eat World, The Mowglis, and Imagine Dragons. Then in 2014, they released their second major label EP, The Reason.
Joining X Ambassadors on their upcoming tour will be support from Skylar Grey and Kevin Garrett. Skylar Gray is a singer/songwriter perhaps best known for her powerful vocals on tracks like Fort Minor’s “Where’d You Go,” Diddy-Dirty Money’s “Coming Home,” and Eminem’s “I Need a Doctor.” But she also has an impressive songwriting resume, with credits on tracks like Zedd’s “Clarity,” and Eminem/Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie” parts I and II. Get to the Electric Factory early on October 25th to see Skylar Gray when she opens for X Ambassadors. Also on the bill is Kevin Garrett. His debut EP was released in April of this year. Hailing from Pittsburgh, the young musician is Roc Nation’s most recent signee. He’s a rising talent that should definitely be on everyone’s radar.
