Formed in 1993, Korn is known as one of the biggest metal bands in the world. The group takes credit as the first who pioneered the nu metal genre. Lyrics can be found to focus more on pain and personal alienation, rather than the traditional themes from bands in the same music scene. Artists, including Slipknot, have taken influence by Korn’s debut self-titled album, which became a hit success without support from television or radio broadcasting.
With over two decades of performing, Korn has received an extensive amount of nominations and awards for their work. With titles such as Best Album, Best Editing, and Hall of Fame, the group has also won two Grammy Awards. The band has performed at monumental shows such as Lollapalooza, Rock ‘n’ Heim, and Download Festival, wrecking each of their crowds with an explosive production.
Korn’s eleventh studio album, The Paradigm Shift, includes the band’s original guitarist, Brian “Head” Welch. The record uses darker elements and heavier mixes than their previous work. As always, Korn delivers music fans craze over along with killer live shows. The band has earned international success and a place in metal history.
