R&B legend, R. Kelly is headed to Philly this September. The self-proclaimed “King of R&B” will play the Liacouras Center on September 24th. Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 7th at 10am. In addition to his upcoming tour dates, R. Kelly has also announced information regarding his upcoming album.
Kelly’s upcoming album, his 14th, is something that he’s “very proud of.” He says, “I’m having a lot of fun in the studio as I’ve always had. It’s not just another day at the office though. It’s just something very special.” Like the title of the album, The Buffet, will cater to R. Kelly’s diverse fanbase. Of his 27 years in the business, he says, “I’ve got all different kinds of generations of fans now, and I have to feed everybody…It’s just a variety of things, so I call it The Buffet.”
At this point, we don’t yet know when the new album will be released but we can expect to hear a wide array of songs, both new and old, when R. Kelly hits the stage this fall in Philadelphia.
