Motörhead will be performing at the Shrine Expo Hall on August 22 in support of its latest album Bad Magic, coming out later this month on August 28. It will be the band’s 22nd studio album. They are also celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, having formed in 1975.
Motörhead is known for being a part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal in the 1970s and 80s, where they fused punk rock into the genre to help pioneer speed metal and thrash metal. Their goal was always to be loud, only possible due to the legendary and unforgettable Motörhead bassist/shouter Lemmy. They created a stripped-down, loud, heavy, and aggressive sound that forever changed the history of heavy metal to this day.
Later this year, Motörhead will go on its 40th Anniversary European Winter tour on November 15th 2015 at Le Zenith in Paris, ending on December 6th at the Hartwell Arena in Helsinki, Finland. But before then, be sure to catch them at the Shrine Expo Hall later this month.
