Mayday Parade began as a result of merging two popular local bands from Tallahassee, Florida. Shortly after forming in 2005, the rock band quickly started creating a buzz around their hometown. Their debut EP, Tales Told by Dead Friends, sold over 50,000 copies without any label support. They soon played shows on Warped Tour and supported bands such as Armor for Sleep and Plain White T’s. Since then, the band has been signed to Fearless Records and has grown a massive following of dedicated fans.
Their last album, Monsters in the Closet, peaked at #4 on Billboard’s Alternative Albums and #2 on the Independent Albums chart. After a decade of performing, Mayday Parade continues to deliver refreshing and exciting music. Fans can look forward to their newest album, Black Lines, coming out October 9th.
“Each album has been a learning process and the last two of them, especially, feels like we’ve found the right way to do it,” says vocalist Derek Sanders on their records. With melodically diverse tracks matched to stunning vocals, Mayday Parade is always raising the bar with their work. They can be found on the upcoming AP Tour with Real Friends, This Wild Life, and As It Is this fall.
