The second day of the Newport Folk Festival was packed with more of the amazing acts the festival is famous for. The day started with Traveller, the new project of Jonny Fritz, Robert Ellis and Cory Chisel. They were followed by a full day of Americana acts from Madisen Ward & the Mama Bear, Bela Fleck & Abigail Washburn, Langhorne Slim, Nikki Lane, Jason Isbell, Courtney Barnett, Tommy Stinson, a surprise set by James Taylor, Sturgill Simpson, Sufjan Stevens, Brandi Carlile and the Decembrists.
