The Black Dahlia Murder have just come out with a new song called “Receipt”. “Receipt” is one scathing new song that’s coming from the new full length album Abysmal.
“Receipt” includes some crazy rhythms and great vocal talent. This track really shines in the intro, and continues to maintain a captivating energy throughout the entire time it’s blaring through your speakers. The Black Dahlia Murder really killed it with their intentions to make a badass fast song with great hooks. Combining various elements of previous works have really made “Receipt” shine as a track, and we can’t wait to see how the album Abysmal will compare.
When asked about the track “Receipt”, vocalist Trevor Strnad gave the following response:
“The song, ‘Receipt,’ is a very personal and emotional one for me. I wrote the lyrics in my darkest hour, when anxiety had bested me and self loathing had come to an ultimate head. I was alone. I felt like I couldn’t create anything, and I was about to lose all that in life that I hold dear to me to failure. The song was a cathartic release and I hope it can be some kind of help to someone out there who feels the same darkness. I truly love the song and I feel like its one of the best this band has ever written, and I thank you all for listening.”
Not too long ago, The Black Dahlia Murder released a new track titled “Vlad, Son Of The Dragon”. Similar to “Receipt” it takes you on an emotional journey through some powerful stories told through music. What’s admirable about The Black Dahlia Murder is their ability to convey true raw passion in their work and craft to their audience, which really deems their success. “Receipt” connects to the audience in an incredible manner, which preempts the success of the album well.
