Los Angeles-based HEALTH have released a new track entitled “Men Today” from their forthcoming album Death Magic.
The noise rock band premiered their latest song exclusively via Apple Music’s Beats 1. “Men Today” is available as an instant gratification download with the pre-order of Death Magic on iTunes. The album’s release date is August 7 via Loma Vista Recordings. This week, HEALTH just completed a run of three sold out shows in Los Angeles, collectively named “You Are Not Alone.”
“Men Today” is two minutes long, and none of the brief runtime is wasted. The underlying beat is intense, but the electronic buzz that intermittently plays over it is louder, when it appears. Benjamin Jared Miller’s vocals complement the instrumentals, which you can hear in the stream of the new track below.
When the band first announced their upcoming album in April, they also released a music video for the track “New Coke,” one of 12 tracks that will be included on Death Magic. In June, they released yet another new song, this one titled “Stonefist.” In August, HEALTH will be playing at Popscene at Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco and at FYF Fest in Los Angeles. They will be playing a few consecutive nights in Hudson, New York, as part of Basilica Soundscape this September, as well as stopping to perform at Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris at the end of October.
