Singer-songwriter Glen Hansard will be making his debut performance at Walt Disney Concert Hall on November 9 in support of his newest album Didn’t He Ramble set for release on September 18. Hansard’s recently released music video “Winning Streak” is the first single from the album. His first studio album was Rhythm and Repose released in 2012.
Hansard is known for his acting and is the vocalist and guitarist for Irish group The Frames, and one half of folk rock duo The Swell Season. In 2007, he and Czech songstress Markéta Irglová took home the Academy Award for Best Original Song for “Falling Slowly” off the Once soundtrack. He has also appeared in the BAFTA-winning film The Commitments.
The evening will open with special guest Aoife O’Donovan. Her first solo album titled Fossils debuted in 2013. Her current “I’m With Her” tour features O’Donovan’s newest collaboration – a trio with Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz. Be sure to catch these stars at the Walk Disney Concert Hall in November.
