Myrkur will be releasing her first full length album entitled M on August 21st, but the young artist just debuted the opening track for her record, “Skøgen Skulle Dø”.
Myrkur is a one-woman black metal Danish musician named Amalie Brunn. Initially, and for quite some time, the identity of the Relapse Records artist was unknown to the public.
Technically, this is the third album track Myrkur has released in advance of the album drop. Recently, she has also released a demo of her single “Skaôi” and an early recording of “Dybt I Skoven” which was included in her 2014 self titled EP.
Stereogum says the new track “gives fairly representative idea of the many textures and terrains covered on the LP.” Earlier this year, Myrkur released a video for her song “Onde Børn” and last year dropped her hit EP and single “Latvian Fegurö”.
