When Janet Jackson announced the first leg of her upcoming World Tour, many local fans were probably disappointed that Philadelphia was not included on the list. But Jackson fans rejoice, because Miss Jackson has added a second leg, and this time around Philly is most definitely on the list.
The first leg of Janet’s tour will kick off at the end of August in Van Couver. She’ll make 39 stops before kicking off round tour, which in January of next year. Janet’s upcoming tour is being promoted as her big return, so fans are no doubt highly anticipating her performance here in Philadelphia. She’ll take the stage at the Wells Fargo Center on February 24th. Tickets for this one go on sale Monday, July 20th at 10am. You don’t want to miss your chance to grab tickets, this one will likely sell out, so set a reminder and make sure you’re at your computer at 10am sharp.
Janet Jackson made her return to the music scene when she debuted her newest single, “No Sleeep.” The track became her 40th entry on Billboard’s Hot 100. In describing the upcoming tour, Janet’s management wrote, “There will be no surprises for people who own Janet’s music. There will be ‘No Sleeep’ until she sees you in your city.” In the meantime, we can all look forward to the album release sometime this fall.
