Scottish electro-pop group Chvrches announced that they’ll be releasing a new album on September 25th, 2015. It’s titled Every Open Eye, and is being released via Glassnote.
Every Open Eye is the follow up to the band’s successful 2013 album The Bones of What You Believe, which has now become a beloved fan favorite.
This new album was self-produced by Chvrches in their Glasgow studio, according to Undertheradarmag.com. And, the band released the tracklisting and cover art for Every Open Eye through their social media page on Tumblr.
In the Tumblr announcement, the members of Chvrches are encouraging their fans to follow them on Instagram to keep abreast of the latest Every Open Eye news. Their account for all things related to the new album is every.open.eye (@every.open.eye), and if you choose to follow along, you’ll find out how you can listen to the album’s lead single, “Leave A Trace.”
Their new single made a brief appearance on Youtube on Thursday, July 16, 2015, but it was quickly removed, according to Undertheradarmag.com. Additionally, U.K.-based entertainment giant NME had reported that “Leave A Trace” was to premiere in the U.K. on BBC Radio 1, later that evening.
As they were working on this new album, the band kept their fans’ attention by performing a new song at Austin City Limits, releasing another new song to listen to, teaming up with Bleachers to cover Lindsey Buckingham-penned Fleetwood Mac classic, and went on to cover a more recent hit – Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River.” Additionally, Chvrches have released series of music videos for “Under The Tide” and “Tether,” in which the latter featured guest appearance by Eric Prydz. And, looking ahead, Chvrches is taking part in the Boston Calling Festival, which will also feature appearances by Alabama Shakes and Alt-J, among many others.
