On August 21, Seattle native Mark Lanegan will be unveiling a 12-track collection of primarily unreleased material from 2002. The new album will be released via Ipecac Recordings.
The album represents a unique stage of Lanegan’s solo work as his time with the Screaming Trees came to a close. Many of the tracks that will be featured on the release had previously been sitting on the shelf collecting dust. Randall Jamail of Justice Records helped produce the album.
Houston (Publishing Demos 2002) follows the release of Phantom Radio last October which featured tracks like “Flood Of The Ocean” and “Harvest Home” Shortly before this, he also released No Bells on Sunday, an exclusive 5-track vinyl-only EP.
