R&B artist The Weeknd has announced that his forthcoming album, Beauty Behind the Madness, will be released on August 28, 2015, via XO/Republic Records.
Beauty Behind the Madness is the Grammy-nominated artist’s third full-length studio album and it is now available for pre-order. It features the hit singles “The Hills” and “Can’t Feel My Face,” the latter of which is currently #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is in the Top 5 of iTunes Overall Top Songs Chart. That track was written by The Weeknd and co-produced by Max Martin, who has worked with artists like Jessie J, Taylor Swift, the Backstreet Boys and Tori Kelly.
The Weeknd performed at Coachella 2015 in Indio, California, where Kanye West made a guest appearance during his set. He also made waves this year at SXSW in Austin, Texas, where he was featured as part of a YouTube showcase. The Weeknd also appeared as part of the lineup for the 8th annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, along with A$AP Rocky and Phantogram.
The full track listing for the upcoming album is being kept secret, even on the iTunes pre-order page, with the exception of three songs. The tracks that will be on the album for sure are “The Hills,” “Often,” and “Can’t Feel My Face.”
