LISTEN: Cradle OF Filth Release New Song “Enshrined In Crematoria”

Just one week before the release of their newest record, Cradle Of Filth have released another single off of the record. The single, which is called, “Enshrined In Crematoria,” is a perfect pair to the single released a little over a week ago, and is a perfect example of the narrative of the new record.

With the release of their new record, Hammer Of The Witches set for release on July 10th, Cradle Of Filth have released the second single off of the album since the release of the track “Deflowering The Maidenhead, Displeasuring The Goddess”. With dark vocal utterances and equally dark musical overtones, “Enshrined In Crematoria” perfectly encapsulates the theme of the record, which involves a group of witches taking vengeance against those who have persecuted and executed the witches that came before them. The track also brilliantly shows off how far the group has come in their nearly-twenty-five-year history, the early days of which saw the group utilize a more free-form rendition of metal before transitioning into a more polished form of Gothic heavy metal.

Hammer Of The Witches was recorded in Britain’s Witch County in rural Suffolk. Hoping to deliver a truly authentic vibe for the record, they also recorded the record in Grindstone Studios, a recording studio that’s allegedly haunted. This is the third record release by Cradle of Filth in the last four years, not counting the reissues of eight of their classic records back in 2012.
