Just in time for some October “sweater weather,” The Neighbourhood have announced an upcoming fall tour that will bring them to Philadelphia on October 6th. The tour kicks off in mid-September and will run through the end of October, with stops across the US and parts of Canada. Tickets go on sale this Friday (6/26) at noon, so be sure to grab those quickly, because this one is likely to sell out! Joining The NBHD on tour will be Bad Suns and Hunny, so remember to get their early on the night of October 6th!
The NBHD got their start back in 2012, when they appeared mysteriously online with a single track, “Female Robbery.” The music blew people away and eventually they released their second (and hit) track “Sweater Weather.” They melded rock, hip-hop, and R&B, while doing it all in their now traditional black and white aesthetic. They released 2 EPs, I’m Sorry… and Thank You. The EPs were followed by their debut full-length, I Love You, which dropped in April of 2013.
Since then, fans have eagerly awaited new music. Getting a taste of where things were headed with their November 2014 mixtape #000000 & #FFFFFF. The mixtape featured appearances from Dej Loaf, French Montana, YG, and Danny Brown, officially bringing the band into hip-hop territory. And now, they are working on a new album. So fans of the California band will likely get to hear some new music at their upcoming gigs.
As always, get there early to check out the openers. Bad Suns, also hailing from California will be on hand to provide the feel-good tunes. They released their debut album, Language & Perspective last year, and have played various shows throughout Philly. You can also catch Hunny, a six-piece band from, you guessed it, Southern California. Grab your tickets tomorrow!
