The official video for “Palace” off of Tanlines’ latest album has just been released via Urban Outfitters. The production was directed by Girls’ Alex Karpovsky and Teddy Blanks.
The video entertains the idea of alternate universes according to subtle choices in day to day life. It follows the many potential lives of a man, played alternately by both Eric Emm and Karpovsky himself, after facing a breakup with a woman, played by Natasha Lyonne of Orange Is The New Black. The varying circumstances suggest how the tiniest changes in one’s approach to life can affect their entire lives.
Tanlines released their sophomore album, Highlights, back in May on True Panther Sounds. Before the release, they uniquely promoting the album via an exclusive conference call to fans. The official video for the single off of the album, “Pieces,” was also released in May via Funny or Die! The duo played at Amoeba Records in Hollywood to promote the album last month as well.
