Head North @ The Bottom of the Hill 7/2

Head North will be performing along with Light Years, A Will Away, and Casey Bolles at the Bottom of the Hill this July. The actual order of the acts at SF’s Potrero Hill venue is yet to be determined.

Established in 2013 in Buffalo, New York, punk rock group Head North has since released three EPs in the brief two years that they have been together. Their latest “Bloodlines” was released just this past March.

Much of their sentimental emphasis exudes from the lyrics themselves with many of the songs featuring ambient instrumental introductions, picking up speed through angsty vocals that are often backed by energetic percussion. Their dynamic harmonies tie in elements of uptempo pop with the rawer emotions of punk rock, creating a compellingly subtle melodrama within their music without drowning the viewer in feelings of sorrow. The set list for July 2nd will traverse genres from alternative acoustic to punk rock, but will surely be a compatible series featuring quality tunes.
