Eagles of Death Metal, the American rock band formed in 1998, have announced their first album in seven years, Zipper Down, Spin reported. Comprised of Jesse Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, Eagles of Death Metal’s latest record follows 2008’s Heart On. More information on the record is yet to be released.
Despite the lack of information, the band did share a new single titled “Complexity.” Accompanied by kitschy Star Trek themed album art, the song is an upbeat, energetic dance party. It’s an ode to Hughes and Homme’s deeply rooted desire for classic rock & roll. It’s a lively preview into what’s to come from the duo.
Catch the band at Riot Fest Denver and Toronto this August and September. Listen to “Complexity” below.
