Canadian electronic musician CFCF announced the track listing for his upcoming album Radiance and Submission, which is due to be released July 31st on Driftless Records. No music has come out yet, but reports have floated around hinting that the album will be filled with soft, synth-based tones, acoustic guitar, and “sparse vocals”.
CFCF is the electronic music project of Michael Silver from Montreal, Canada. His music is usually characterized as slower than that of other electronic artists, and even containing a nostalgic tone despite the contemporary choice of instruments. This unique combination has generated a lot of demand for the young musician. According to a press release for the artist, “he’s DJed with indie acts such as Toro y Moi, Neon Indian, and Caribou, played The Museum Of Modern Art’s PS1 venue with Animal Collective and Oneohtrix Point Never”. He has produced two previous albums, called Continent (2009) and Outside (2013), six EPs, and numerous remixes and singles on the Paper Bag Records label. This will be the musician’s first release for Driftless.
