U2 will be performing at The Forum on June 3 as it continues on its 2015 Innocence + Experience Tour. The tour is in support of the band’s 2014 album Songs of Innocence and will be U2’s first time playing arenas since the 2005–2006 Vertigo Tour. The Innocence + Experience Tour opened on May 14 in Vancouver, Canada, and will comprise two legs, one featuring concerts in North America from May through July, and a second featuring concerts in Europe from September through November.
U2 had a unique involvement with Apple Inc. in September last year. When the new iPhone and Apple Watch were unveiled, U2 appeared on stage to perform a new song entitled “The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone).” Afterwards, they and Apple CEO Tim Cook made a surprise announcement that the band had completed their 13th studio album, Songs of Innocence, and that it would be released digitally the same day to all iTunes Store customers at no cost.
U2 has been around since 1972 and show no signs of slowing down. They are world famous and have won 22 Grammy Awards, the most of any other band and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005. Be sure to catch them while you can!
