Australia’s Tame Impala has released the new music video for their track “Cause I’m A Man,” which shows the song as performed by puppets.
The video was co-directed by Dan Dipaola and Megan McShane, according to Pitchfork. The track is from their upcoming album, Currents, which is due out July 17 worldwide. It’s not the first video they’ve released for “Cause I’m A Man” – the first iteration of the music video was an animated story for which the meaning was left to interpretation.
The track is fairly ambient, with falsetto vocals and some 1970s influence in the beat. Both the song and the new video have a hypnotic quality about them. The latest “Cause I’m A Man” video features a group of puppets that “sing” and “play instruments” – essentially the puppet doppelgängers of Tame Impala. Watch the video below.
