Ghost Announce New Album And New Singer Papa Emeritus III

Swedish occult rock group Ghost, known as “Ghost B.C.” in the States, has found a new singer and has also teased a new record due late this Summer. The news follows a short period in which the group began a search for a replacement for their last singer Papa Emeritus II.

The wait is finally over. Ghost has finally found a replacement for their most recent singer, Papa Emeritus II. The choice for his replacement is an especially odd one, considering that the replacement is not all that different from his predecessor. Papa Emeritus III is the three-month-younger brother of Papa Emeritus II. Although lacking in surprise or variety, the new singer is sure to be a hit replacement for the group.

The new singer also marks another new announcement for the group in the form of a new record. The follow-up to their covers-only If You Have Ghost EP will be called Meliora, which is Latin for “better,” an interesting choice in light of the new singer that the group has brought into the fold. Having worked with Dave Grohl on the If You Have Ghost EP, the group now teams up with Klas Ahlund (of the Swedish group Teddybears), and Andy Wallace, the latter of whom mixed records with the likes of Nirvana and Guns N’ Roses. The record is set to be released on August 21st, and the first single off of the record should be out in the next couple of weeks.
