Two of alternative rock’s notable artists, Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional with special local guest Quiet Company, are coming together for a summer tour in 2015, which includes a stop at Cedar Park Center on July 3rd.
Third Eye Blind is an American rock band that formed in San Francisco in 1993. The band first signed to a major label, Elektra Records, in 1996 which was later reported as the largest publishing deal ever for an unsigned artist. Their debut self-titled album in 1997 and followed up with the release of, Blue, in 1999. Since their formation, Third Eye Blind has recorded four best-selling albums and will release their first studio album in six years this summer.
Dashboard Confessional is an American emo band from Florida, led by singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba. Their breakthrough came when their second album, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, was released in 2002. Their single “Screaming Infidelities” helped the album reach gold certified status. The album peaked at number five on Billboard’s Top 200. To date, Dashboard Confessional has a platinum album with their live release MTV Unplugged, three RIAA certified gold-selling albums (Swiss Army Romance, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most, and A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar), and has had numerous songs featured on TV.
