Ryan Adams Says He Broke His Rib, But Will Continue To Tour

This might seem like a bit of a shock for fans of Ryan Adams, but this is some serious commitment coming from this dude. During Ryan Adams shine in the stage spotlight at the Sasquatch! Music Festival, Adams tweeted on his twitter page that he might have injured himself, noticing that while he was playing the harmonica, he felt pain throughout his whole body. He shared an instagram picture of doctor’s office, awaiting the results of an x-ray to confirm if one his ribs was broken. The following tweet says that Ryan Adam’s assumptions were correct that he injured himself in the middle of his performance. Luckily, Ryan Adams will not postpone any tour dates after sustaining an injury during his Sasquatch! performance.

Ryan Adams is scheduled to take the stage at Victoria, British Colombia’s Royal Theatre at 8:00 p.m. local time tonight. He also has a festival show next weekend at Governors Ball, with spots at Glastonbury, Roskilde, and Fuji Rock all on the horizon, according to the article on his injury on Consequence of Sound’s website. Adams has been nominated for three Grammys this year, including a nomination for Best Rock Album for his self-titled 2014 release.

Even though Ryan Adams sustained an injury while performing, he hasn’t let the pain stop his upcoming performances and any of his ideas in working on the soundtracks for the comic books he writes. But all of this creative blast of energy has been in part with some of his covers of songs from artists like The Dead Kennedy’s and Jenny Lewis, his guest appearance in Marvel’s weekly podcast, and his new comic series that he currently writing both the scenes and music, while also trying to hire an illustrator. However, he won’t be able to play the harmonica in any of his next upcoming shows. On the bright side, it’s a funny story to tell his fans. If there is one thing, it is simply put that the show must always go on. In case of damage, always try and find the necessary exception to making sure that what has been set in place, continues in its place.
