Gerard Way is an American musician and comic book writer who was the lead vocalist and co-founder of the American alternative-rock band My Chemical Romance. My Chemical Romance formed in 2001 and split in 2014. Way is the executive producer of the band LostAlone’s second album, I’m a UFO in This City. Way alos wrote the comic mini-series, The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, and wrote the Eisner Award winning comic book, The Umbrella Academy.
With all of Ways success, he decided to debut his first solo record, Hesitant Alien, in 2014 via Warner Bros Records. To support the album, Way assembled a touring band made up of select musicians who contributed to the album and were called “The Hormones.” The album was produced by Doug McKean, who is known for his work as a recording engineer and has history working with Ways former band, My Chemical Romance.
