Musician, rapper and producer Flying Lotus just premiered a new track called “Transmolecularization” on his BBC Radio 1 Residency.
The new song, which features jazz artist and composer Kamasi Washington, is an outtake from Flying Lotus’ You’re Dead album sessions. “Transmolecularization” is a brief track with a retro soulful sound, including high-pitched lead and backup vocals. Check out the song on the BBC’s website!
Last month, Flying Lotus used his BBC Radio 1 Residency to release a collaboration with rapper Kendrick Lamar during an interview session with Lamar. He has also released music videos for “Coronus, the Terminator” and “Ready Err Not” in recent months. He is part of the lineup for Sweden’s 2015 Way Out West Fest in August, along with artists like Alt-J, Patti Smith and Future Islands.
