The mutli-creative English producer Mark Ronson also known as DJ Ronson, released a video for “Feel Right” featuring Nola rapper Mystikal off his 2015 album Uptown Special. According to NME, Uptown Funk is making a massive killing cashing in over a million in the UK solely giving the collaborative hit song, “Uptown Funk” with Bruno Mars some major competition. The single, “Feel Right” has been pushing the number one spot in the UK for several weeks. Sources have stated Ronson is bringing a total of $100,000 (£65,000) a week through Spotify for his buzzing new hit single. Mark Ronson released a video for “Uptown Funk” with pop star Bruno Mars at the turn of the 2015 year. In early February we reported Mark Ronson’s newest release of his fourth studio album, Uptown Funk which features Motown’s world icon in R&B, soul and classic funk, Stevie Wonder. Ronson sure knows how to bring great artists together for record-breaking collaborations.
The funky-vibin’ video takes place in a school auditorium in Sunnydale county which just so happens to be the fictional set of the popular teen TV drama, Buffy The Vampire Slayer. At the beginning of the video you immediately know it’s a prep school talent show, when two kids appear playing a cello and the camera turns to the audience with an unenthused reaction. Florence Henderson, known for playing Carol Brady on one of the nation’s classic TV sitcoms, The Brady Bunch, walks out on stage to introduce the next performing acts. Playing a teacher-host in the video, she reads the next student performers introduction, “This performance is dedicated to all the player hattin’ teachers that won’t let a lil’ gangsta shine (I don’t know what that means)”, then a seven piece student band appears on stage to give the student body a super-comical and explosive performance. The video approach to not use the actual artists singing but instead take a theatrical turn having kids perform the song makes it extremely adorable. These kids got the skills! They even advertise their mixtape while they rock the audience mad-crazy & the loosefoot janitor. The lead vocal rockstar towards the middle of the video takes a sip of milk out of a flute glass with assistance from his ace, like a triple-OG, it is the funniest thing (hey, milk does a body good). There is a part where the lead vocal singer says an explicit and the crowd gave a unison stunned reaction; hilarious. Towards the ending of the video, the crowd gives the band a standing ovation as the lead vocal super star drops his mic to proceed off the stage. Mark Ronson and his campadres, Bruno Mars and Mystikal play the judges as they appear to be swept away by giving the kid band all tens.
