Royksopp released a new video for their single “I Had This Thing.” The track comes off the duo’s last album, The Inevitable End.
The video takes viewers down the path of a relationship. It begins with the young couple sitting together, looking happy and in love with one another. Just 15 seconds into the production, the couple is fighting and the female protagonist packs up her belongs to go. The remainder of the video deals with the aftermath of the breakup, or so it seems. Before the end, things take an unexpected turn in this beautifully crafted video.
Royksopp is a Norwegian electronic band consisting of Svein Berge and Torbjorn Brundtland. The duo met young, but did not become Royksopp until 1998. They would go on to release six albums, including their most recent, The Inevitable End which was released in 2014. Their music continues to shine and with each album, the duo introduces new sounds that really captures the attention of fans and critics. Over the years, Royksopp won a number of prestigious awards including Best Music Video for “Remind Me” (2005) and Best Electronic Album for “Junior.” Most recently, they were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album for “Do It Again.”
