Back in February, Italian producer and songwriter Giorgio Moroder released an entrancing, kaleidoscopic video for “Right Here, Right Now,” one of the singles from his forthcoming album, Déjà vu. His first release in 30 years, the album with feature appearances from Britney Spears, Kelis and Charli XCX, among others. Today, the multitalented musician released a video for the album’s title track, “Déjà vu”
Directed by Swedish actress Alexandra Dahlström, the video plays out as a disco-infused confusion of memories. The video begins with some wise words from the cab driver to the main character (Drew Lipson): “The girls are like a shadow,” he says. “If you follow them they flee. If you flee, they follow you.” The advice sets the stage for the events that ensue. Donning an all-white suit with lavender flowers in hand, Lipson becomes entranced by a Sia look-a-like … again and again and again. In the end, he comes to an inconspicuous discovery about the mysterious woman. Watch the video below.
