After releasing “Cause I’m a Man” and performing at Coachella, Tame Impala released another new track, “Disciples,” from the band’s highly anticipated album, Currents.
“Disciples” came to light during a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session with Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker. After a series of questions about chord progressions and Parker’s father’s wishes for his son not to pursue music, Reddit user LeonCloud11 piped up with a question, according to Paste Magazine. His question read: “Since I’m too slow to think of anything, whats a question that you would like to be asked and have been wanting to answer?”
This extremely open ended question provided the perfect segue for the frontman, who responded, “I’m waiting for someone to ask me if they can hear a new song…!”.
So, another Reddit user took this large hint and asked to hear a new song, which prompted Parker to post a link to “Disciples.”
What does it sound like?
This new sample of Tame Impala’s latest track is catchy and will get you nodding your head or tapping your foot to the beat. It has a psychedelic vibe, and features a prominent steady bass and drum line. And, the song features the band’s signature reverb.

Those who took part in the Reddit AMA were elated by this sample of new music from Tame Impala, and in their excitement, none of the users thought to ask for a very important piece of information: when will Currents be released?
