Alice Cooper’s Good To See You Again Now Available To Stream On Qello

The 1974 feature film Good to See You Again Alice Cooper featuring shock rock band Alice Cooper is now available to stream on Qello, the largest online concert and music documentary streaming service.

The Penthouse Productions film begins with the band performing “The Lady is a Tramp” from the 1937 musical Babes in Arms, while wearing all-white tuxedos on an all-white set. It’s clear that this is out of character for the group, and the audience eventually finds that this is for a major motion picture, in a meta reveal. The film continues with the storyline of a German director who is angry with the band for ruining his movie, and the comedic sketches that make up the plot are interspersed with live concert performances by Alice Cooper.

The concert footage is from the band’s Billion Dollar Babies Tour in 1973, with scenes filmed at performances in Texas and Oregon. The track listing for Good to See You Again Alice Cooper includes “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “School’s Out” and 11 other Alice Cooper songs. The band’s performance also features some controversial aspects, such as a Richard Nixon impersonator being “beaten” by the whole group and a lot of social satire. The movie’s total run time is a little more than 90 minutes.
