LISTEN: Elbow Release New Song “What Time Do You Call This?”

The English alt-rock band have released their latest material for the upcoming Simon Pegg film, Man Up, which scheduled to be released on May 29. The full soundtrack will be made available on May 25.

“What Time Do You Call This?” is the first song released by elbow since The Take Off and Landing of Everything in 2014. It’s a drifting, heartfelt piece that fits in thoughtfully with the rest of their recent work. Guy Garvey’s vocals flow alongside strings, piano, and acoustic guitar to produce a very warm, very human sound on the track.

elbow spent last year touring to promote the release of The Take Off and Landing of Everything throughout the spring. They also performed 6 minute-long song, “First Steps,” at the London Olympics in 2012. This year, the band is set to headline both the Kendal Calling festival in Lake District, Cumbria this August and the On Blackheath festival in London this September.
