The Chemical Brothers have announced the release of their new album, Born in the Echoes, for July 17 via Astralwerks.
The album is the electronic duo’s first in five years, following Further in 2010 and the Hanna soundtrack in 2011. Born in the Echoes features collaborations with vocalists such as Q-Tip, Ali Love, St. Vincent, Cate Le Bon and Beck.
The band was featured on the soundtrack for 2014’s The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, curated by Lorde. Ed Simons, one half of the duo, quit touring in late 2014 to pursue academics, but said that he will be part of appearances in the future. The Chemical Brothers will be performing at Hard Summer Music Festival 2015 in Southern California in August – presumably both members.
