Dark pop diva Lana Del Rey is back in the best way possible – by releasing new, highly anticipated, songs. This time it’s a part of the score to a new movie called Age of Adaline starring Blake Lively, Harisson Ford and Michiel Huisman, coming to theaters today, on April 23, 2015.
The movie tells the story of Adeline Bowman, whose aging process has been frozen due to a car crash just before she turned 30. Compared in A.V.Club’s review to Benjamin Button’s story, the movie is called a “meditation on the nature of love and time,” and Del Rey’s title track is the perfect theme for the new film.
Lana’s new song “Life Is Beautiful” must be the first single off her upcoming album Honeymoon, which she announced will be released in summer 2015. The song itself is gorgeous, and gives a feeling of pure delight and dreaminess. The song seems both alike and completely different from her soundtrack “Young And Beautiful” for The Great Gatsby movie.
Lana Del Rey, who was earlier announced as a headliner to this year’s Sasquatch! and Governors Ball festivals, proves she stays on top, surprising and pleasing us with new hits.
“Life Is Beautiful” was released together with the movie trailer, which you can see and hear by clicking “Play” below.
