On April 16th, 2015, CONVERSE Inc. announced that there will be a free, five-day multigenre concert series to celebrate the highly anticipated opening of Converse’s global world headquarters in Boston’s Lovejoy Wharf. Billed as the Converse Rubber Tracks Live Boston, everything kicks off on Monday, April 27, 2015, at The Sinclair.
The five-day celebration includes performances by The Replacements, Passion Pit, Slayer, Chance the Rapper, Descendents, Dinosaur Jr., Baths, Doomriders, Action Bronson, and King Tuff, along with a host of other internationally known acts. Additionally, the concert series will feature five Boston-based bands that have all recorded at a Converse Rubber Tracks studio.
“In anticipation of Converse’s momentous move from North Andover [Massachusetts] to Boston, we wanted to bring our Converse Rubber Tracks music platform to the city in the most incredible way possible,” said Jed Lewis, Converse Global Music Marketing Director. “The city of Boston has always supported us and this free, five-day concert series featuring local artists is our way of showing our gratitude and appreciation to the residents who continue to embrace Converse as part of the community.”

After reading all of the above artist information, you’re probably wondering how one gets to attend the show, as the venue is indoors, and can only accommodate a certain audience capacity. Well, the Converse Rubber Tracks Live organizers have set up online registration for a random ticket lottery.
Prospective concertgoers can register online for a chance to attend one of the five Boston shows, beginning on Monday, April 20 at 12 p.m. EST (9 a.m. PST), via Converse-Music.com/Boston. Tickets will be distributed through a random drawing, with chosen ticket holders being notified via email starting Wednesday, April 22, according to a press release.
