On Friday, April 10th at 9:15PM, The Australian psychedelic rock band, Tame Impala performed an entire full set at Coachella Valley Arts and Music Festival. Coachella is a two-weekend music and art infested extravaganza taken place in Indio, CA April 10-12th and April 17-19th. Amongst the sighting of many Hollywood stars in the crowd there were artistic decor’, a giant caterpillar to great you, strolling entertainment and possibly a go-hard patron-man in a thong with a floral arrangement connected. The hypno-groove Aussie rock stars performed second to the headliners who just so happen to be Australian legendary Rock or Bust stars, AC/DC. The band consists of Kevin Par Coeur (Guitarist, Bassist, Drums, Vocals), Jay Watson (Keys), Dominic Simper (Guitarist, synth), Cam Avery (Bass), and Julien “Frenchie” Barbagallo (Drums, back vocals). Tame Impala illuminated the stage musically and visually with a colorfully fluorescent light show and sporadic psychedelic sounds. The crowd grew massive and highly equipped with body sways and head nods as the blues riffs became infused with mischief-coolness. Their sound is momentous, mature and derives from an eclectic place which gives them major lead in becoming an inspiration to other up and coming rock bands. Lead by band leader and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, the band gave the audience a flashback into their critically acclaimed 2012 album Lonerism and Innerspeaker. The rock stars performed two of their newest hit singles off their forthcoming studio album, Currents , entitled “Cause I’m A Man” and “Let It Happen”.
