Jon Bellion is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and rapper from Long Island, New York. Bellion has released three mix tapes, the most recent being The Definition, which was released last year. He is currently signed with the Visionary Music Group.
Bellion composes and produces all of his own music. His first mix tape Scattered Thoughts Vol. 1 was released in early 2011. The mix tape was released no Facebook and reached over 11 thousand downloads. In 2014, Bellion wrote the chorus to the song “The Monster” by Eminem and Rihanna. Bellion also co-wrote and produced the song “Trumpets” by Jason Derulo.
In an interview with the Huffington Post, Bellion stated that Kanye West is one of his biggest inspirations, “I loved everything but it was Kanye West who really changed everything for me.” Bellion also stated that West is the reason he decided to drop out of college and pursue music.
