South By So What?! 2015 Day One coverage
South by so what?! is an annual 3-day festival held at the Quiktrip park in Grand Prairie, TX. The festival caters to a variety of artists and styles of music, but dominantly it is punk/rock music. The festival itself brings artists and bands from all over world to come celebrate and enjoy the music that they love. This year the event was sponsored by Rockstar energy drink as well, and had a booth with free energy drinks for fans and artists, which was a great pick-me-up throughout the day. The venue has three stages in all, two main and one smaller, but by no means does that mean the artists are smaller — each stage had amazing artists on them. Day one, unfortunately like last year, was sprinkled with rain, which thankfully didn’t become anything too threatening, unlike last year. But in true Texas spirit, the fans enjoyed the show through the rain and gloom. Overall, despite the weather, the festival started off with a huge success.
The artists for day one included: Circa Survive, mayday parade, La Dispute, Cartel, Title Fight, The Maine, Balance & Composure, Lydia, He Is Legend, Hawthorne Heights, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Set It Off, Polyphia, Austin Jones, Nick Santino, Chon, As It Is, Avindale, Badflower, Boymeetsworld, Bryce Gilbertson, Capsize, Carousel Kings, Courage My Love, Dear you, DRÆMINGS, Driver Friendly, Fine Fine Titans, For The Win, Ghost Atlas, Ghost Town, Hotel Books, Jesse Lawson, Modern Chemistry, My Body Sings Electric, Night Riots, Radio City, Redlands, Roam, Self Defense Family, Shadow of Whales, The Alchemy Index, The Ongoing Concept, This Legend, Verdell.
