Skrillex has announced the revival of the festival-by-train tour, Full Flex Express Train. Full Flex Express was inspired by the 1970 Festival Express tour that took The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and The Band across Canada by train.
Skrillex first introduced the Full Flex Express back in 2012, embarking on a similar journey with artists Diplo, Grimes and Pretty Lights joining. This summer, he’s bringing the tour back, with Jack Ü, Zeds Dead, A$AP Ferg, Tycho, Anna Lunoe and Mija. The train tour was cancelled in 2013 due to train availability and lineup issues.
“It took two years for us to get this back on track and feeling great,” Skrillex says in a press release. “We have one of the best lineups we could have ever hoped for.”
Full Flex Express kicks off in Ottawa on July 11 and will continue until July 19th. There has been no further tour dates announced at this time.
Skrillex recently recorded a studio album with Diplo titled Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü, which hit shelves Feb. 27 via Atlantic Records. Skrillex’s last solo studio album was 2014’s Recess.
