LISTEN: Tame Impala Release New Song “Cause I’m A Man”

Tame Impala is looking to build a buzz around their recently announced new album titled Currents. A couple days ago the band released the second song off of the upcoming project “Cause I’m A Man.”

“Cause I’m A Man” lays down a very smooth vibe as Kevin Parker matches the mood set by the track’s instrumentation. Kevin sings about a commonplace among most men that sometimes things are done only because of predisposition, and genetic wiring. This is expressed perfectly in the chorus, “Cause I’m a man woman/ Don’t always think before I do/ Cause I’m a man, woman/That’s the only answer I’ve got for you.” Kevin probably did something stupid and is being confronted by whomever he is with at the moment as to why he did what he did. The best answer he could drum up was to simply chalk it up to “being a man.” As the song progresses the sultry vocalizing done by Parker is taken over by a warmth inducing guitar solo. As the song plays out, the structure of the music stays the same. “Cause I’m A Man” accompanied the announcement of the groups’s new album Currents. This project comes as the follow up to the Grammy-winning Lonerism. Parker has been writing the upcoming project Currents since the release of Lonerism. The hard work is paying off as the new track is catching on rather quickly. Kevin Parker has also stepped outside of Tame Impala to lend his vocals to other songs. For example in January of the year Kevin Parker sang on frequent collaborator’s Mark Ronson produced track “Leaving Los Feliz.”

Tame Impala will be seen at many festivals in several different countries. Fans from around the world are looking forward to what Tame Impala has to offer next. Their fan group was cultivated extremely fast due to the likability of their music. The group released the epic seven minute thirty-four second song “Let It Happen” earlier this year. “Cause I’m A Man” cuts down on that by about three minutes and forty-three seconds. Tame Impala will be going on tour this summer, and while there is no release date yet on Currents the group from down under is sure to keep pedaling new material during the lead up to one of the more anticipated projects of the year. A list of the places Tame Impala will be performing is listed below.
